This video was taken in Van Meter IA on April 3, 2026 at 5:44pm I was taking the video for the thunder because I was curious what was the loudest thunder ever recorded so I was just recording the thunder and out of nowhere, I turned my head and I see this blue light and started to freak out you can hear my voice in the background at first, I thought it was a car that got hit by lightning, but then I looked closer at the video and realized it hit a powerline. If you go bit by bit on the video, you can see the lightning about to strike it.
