For an Eye Opener - Wake Up Call in time for Mental Health Awareness month (May)

On April 29th, Andover High School will host a Hope Garden Celebration, highlighting approximately 1,500 to 1,600 yellow tulips in bloom as preparation for Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

The tulips form a visible Hope Garden, designed to promote mental health awareness and encourage open, stigma‑free conversations.

The garden is part of the Yellow Tulip Project, a nationally recognized, student‑driven organization focused on Smashing the Stigma surrounding mental health.

The Yellow Tulip Project exists to raise awareness of mental health and help create safe spaces where students feel comfortable speaking openly about challenges they face. Hope Gardens of yellow tulips bloom in late April and early May, offering a powerful symbol of hope, renewal, and support.
