For teachers appreciation week, I would love to give an appreciation to Mrs. Sanchez. Mikayla Sanchez has been a teacher at Ivey Lane Elementary School for 6 years. Most of her time was teaching in second grade, but is now helping Ivey Lane’s new ASD classroom as their behavior specialist. Mrs. Sanchez has been such a tremendous advocate and educator for all of her students. Her dedication to being attuned to her students has greatly helped make the transition for many of her students with autism this new school year such a success for their education and development.
