More than 4,000 people came out this morning to the Tsongas Center in Lowell for the annual Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital TeamWalk for CancerCare.

Since the event started, it has raised more than $16 million and helped more than 44,000 patients.

Participants took a 3 mile walk around Lowell.

The money raised all goes to helping people in the Merrimack Valley undergoing cancer treatments by paying for transportation, medicine, wigs, and more.
